Julie has held senior human resource, change management and consulting roles in both Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to her relocation to New Zealand in 2004, Julie worked in Sydney where she held senior human management and project roles in the financial services and property sectors.  This includes seven years at Westpac in the late 1990s, a time when the Australian banking sector went through fundamental change and organisational projects were large scale and high impact.

As well as leading HR teams, she has let the people elements of major change projects, including mergers, acquisitions and the provision of outsourced ICT and facilities management support.  Julie was the People work-stream lead for Westpac’s information technology operations outsourcing project.  This year long project resulted in the transition of over 1,000 employees across four countries to the successful provider.

After leaving Westpac, Julie moved to consulting.  Her first role was with a specialist consultancy focusing on the assessment and development of senior and emerging leaders.

Prior to the establishment of ForeConsulting in 2011, Julie was the New Zealand Managing Principal for ManpowerGroup’s global career consulting organisation, Right Management.  Right Management specialises in development and implementing talent strategies and career management solutions.  While with Right, Julie led the consulting team and worked with both public and private sector clients to deliver advice and support, primarily in the areas of organisational design and structural change.

Since joining ForeConsulting, Julie has supported organisations with a wide range of projects across New Zealand and within both the public and private sectors.  Her work has included engagement in the following areas:

  • Supporting leadership teams in the identification of organizational priorities and the development of organisational operating models

  • Conducting functional capability reviews

  • Advising, designing and implementing organisational structures

  • Planning, managing and/or supporting change projects

  • Delivering research projects in the areas of leadership development and talent management

  • Coaching at executive, senior management and project level

  • Workshop facilitation.

 

Julie has human resource qualifications from the Sydney Institute of Technology and is a Prosci Certified Change Practitioner.
